I started my travel career in 2006 as a tour operator, and 18 months later, I joined the business travel department at WTL. Every day is different in business travel, and you never know what enquiries will come in, but I enjoy the fast pace and the variety of bookings. I believe in providing excellent customer service, and I hope I make clients’ lives easier by guiding them through the options to plan a successful trip.
Working in travel means I have had the opportunity to visit many countries and have had some amazing experiences. One of the highlights was going on a safari in South Africa, which I never thought I would have the chance to do. A favourite holiday destination is France. It could be camping or staying in a gite, but whichever it is, I love to get out and explore the local sights and towns.
Another favourite is the Caribbean, where I have visited Cuba, Jamaica, and most recently, Grenada. But the country that seems to keep drawing me back is the USA. Having family there means I have seen places that are not your normal tourist hotspots. So far, I have been to 15 states, but with much more to explore, I hope to get back there soon.
Outside of work and travelling I enjoy building on my BBQ skills trying out new recipes and cooking techniques, all year round as a BBQ is not just for summer. I also spend a lot of time working on my allotment, which I have been doing since 2020.
